Founded in 2001. Built by its community.
Al-Mamoor began as a single kindergarten class, founded by the pioneers of Jamaica Muslim Center. Today, the school serves over 340 students from 3K through 12th grade across two buildings.
Founded by Jamaica Muslim Center.
Al-Mamoor School was founded in 2001 with a clear vision and the persistent dedication of the pioneers of Jamaica Muslim Center: to serve local families through an Islamic education rooted in academic excellence, Islamic Studies, and Qur’an.
In its earliest days, the school occupied a single classroom in facilities connected to the masjid. It grew through the trust of parents, the perseverance of teachers, and the steady support of a community that believed faith and learning belong together.
A 3K–12 school across two buildings.
Today, Al-Mamoor is a 3K–12 institution with two buildings and expanded learning spaces, reflecting a long-term commitment to excellence, growth, and service to the community.
What hasn’t changed is the school’s founding posture: education as an amanah, a trust placed in our hands by every family who walks through our doors.
